EWM Mailing Lists

The EWM mailing lists connect European women academic mathematicians, allowing advertisement of jobs, fellowships and conferences specifically relevant to women in a heavily male-dominated subject. The lists are associated with European Women in Mathematics. They are open.

ewm-all is the superlist. Any mail sent to ewm-all goes to all members of all three lists. This list is intended for announcements, advertisements, requests for information but NOT for discussion.
ewm-uk is the UK sublist, intended for mail relevant to women working in or with connections in the UK.
ewm-discuss was in the past a discussion sublist, but is no longer active; those interested in actively discussing issues related to women in mathematics are recommended to go to the EMW Womens' Committe blog.

You can access the lists from the World Wide Web, either from the JISCmail homepage or, by going directly to Archive of EWM-ALL or Archive of EWM-UK.

To send a message to everyone on the list, send an email to:
ewm-all@jiscmail.ac.uk or ewm-uk@jiscmail.ac.uk
To leave ewm-all, send an email to: jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk
with the message:
leave ewm-all

Important Email Addresses
1. jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk
  This is the jiscmail program. Send commands to this address.
2. ewm-all@jiscmail.ac.uk , ewm-uk@jiscmail.ac.uk
  These are the addresses of the lists. Any messages sent to these addresses will be automatically forwarded to all the members of the lists.
3. ewm-all-request@jiscmail.ac.uk
  This is the address for the list owner(s) who looks after the list. If you have a problem with the list, send a message to this address. For example,

  This is the jiscmail Helpline. If you have any questions about or problems with jiscmail use this address.
Problems!
- Never send commands, or requests to join, or admin. queries, to ewm-all@jiscmail.ac.uk - your problem will be broadcast to all our members!
- If your mail address changes, send a message to ewm-all-request@jiscmail.ac.uk
- If something goes wrong - perhaps you get two copies of every message - send a message to ewm-all-request@jiscmail.ac.uk
- If mail from ewm-all (or ewm-uk) to you is regularly rejected for some reason (perhaps because you have run out of file space or your computer mail service has been renamed) the list-owner may eventually delete you from the list.
- If you get no mail, you may have been deleted from the list - see above. Either send a message to ewm-all-request@jiscmail.ac.uk, or resubscribe
