Mathematical Analysis and Logic (Graduate School) 1995-2002
This Graduate School was established in 1995 with the purpose of
coordinating national PhD education in its field of speciality.
The activities take place in the participating universities which are:
At each university, the mathematics departments are responsible for local
arrangements of the working of the school and at the University of Helsinki
also the Rolf Nevanlinna Institute
is involved. These departments cover the main part of the national research
in the field of speciality of the Graduate School.

The total number of students in the school is 71 of which 14 have a grant from the
Ministry of Education and 2 of them
have a grant from the
Academy of Finland.
During the first four year period 1995-1998 35 students acquired their
PhD degrees.
